1. Old Mill Park

Old Mill Park on Old Mill Park Lane in West Liberty runs along the banks of the Licking River and is one of the most popular gathering places in town. Families come to the beautiful park to walk or jog down the scenic trails, exercise at the workout area, fish, canoe, kayak, and barbecue on the banks of the river.
The park hosts exciting events throughout the year at the natural amphitheater, including the annual Bluegrass Festival on the second weekend in July and the Market in the Park in August. On the first Friday of each month between May and October, everyone in town comes to the park for the extremely popular Live on the Licking Concert Series, spread their blankets on the lawn, picnic, and listen to music.

2. The Morgan County History Museum

If you want to learn more about the history of West Liberty and find out if you have ancestors buried in the many old cemeteries in the county, visit the Morgan County History Museum at 525 Morgan Street in West Liberty on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The museum is in the old county jail, built in 1936, and displays a vast array of local historical objects telling the story of the town’s development and industry, military artifacts, photographs, and genealogy information.

3. The Memory Hill Foundation Museum

The Memory Hill Foundation Museum at 89 Memory Hill Lane in West Liberty is a fascinating place to visit. Although the museum is closed, the twenty-room colonial home and eight beautifully restored and fully furnished cabins remain.
The structures display an extensive collection of antiques, including early Americana, Victorian, and Empire pieces. There’s an impressive 16-ton marble structure dedicated to Elder Daniel Williams, a pioneer who came to Kentucky in 1775 with Daniel Boone, and a monument in honor of Daniel Duff, a pioneer minister.

4. Morgan County Farmers’ Market

Pop in at the Morgan County Farmers’ Market on Highway 460 at the Wells Mills intersection in West Liberty between July and October, Monday and Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., for the freshest locally grown farm produce. Everyone in town flocks to the vibrant outdoor market at the foot of Wells Hill to browse the vast selection of delicious homemade goods and seasonal fruits and veggies.
