1. Lota Rocks

This beautiful, rustic site has the perfect mix of gorgeous surroundings and excellent facilities. Catering to RV and tent campers, there are full hook-ups, showers and bathroom facilities, a game room, and a general store. Nearby, there’s rock climbing, hiking trails, and plenty of other outdoor activities.

Also known as Land of the Arches, this is a super-convenient and cheap site. No reservations are required, and tent camping is just $8 per night. If you prefer a little extra comfort, indoor camping is also available at $10 per night. The site is open year-round.

2. 4 Guys RV Park at the Gorge

An RV only site, 4 Guys RV Park is perfect for those who like to keep their camping experience luxurious. This sprawling site features full hook-ups, a swimming pool, bathrooms, and sports facilities for basketball and frisbee golf. Pets are welcome too!

This luxurious site is located in Stanton, under an hour’s drive from West Liberty. No RV? No worries! Cabin rentals are available too.

3. Paintsville Lake State Park Campsite

Paintsville Lake State Park is one of the most beautiful state parks in Kentucky. With its picturesque trails, crystal-clear lake, and wooded, hilly surroundings, it’s sure to take your breath away. What better way to appreciate its sheer natural beauty than by camping within its grounds?.

There are more than 40 sights available in the park, with both full-service hook-ups for RVs and basic tent spots available. Wherever you choose to camp, you’re sure of a great view! While you’re here, check out the Mountain Homeplace a living history museum comprising a replica of a 19th-century farming museum.

4. Outpost RV Park

Deep in the heart of Boone National Forest, Outpost RV Park offers 90 sites, perfect for escaping the pressures of daily life. There are full hook-up sites for RVs of all sizes, as well as laundry and bathroom facilities. Nearby Cave Run lake offers fishing, swimming, and water sports.

5. Clear Creek

This peaceful, tent-only site is one of the quietest, most isolated places to camp in the area. Surrounded by trees and with a babbling stream running nearby, you can sit back and enjoy the sites and sounds of nature.

Each site comes with a tent pad, grill, and lantern pole. Clear Creek is open from the third Friday in March through December. The cost of a single site is $15 per night in March through October, falling to $10 per night in November and December.
