Playground | Hutch Ford in West Liberty, KYIf you live in West Liberty, KY and you’re looking for fun things to do this summer, why not head down to some of the many places that are within a short drive from town? This post shares all three of our favorite summertime activities near Liberty – we’re sure at least one of these will be something that you’ll enjoy!

West Liberty Park

West Liberty Park is the perfect place to spend a day with your family. It’s open from sunrise until 10 p.m. daily and offers plenty of activities for everyone in the family. There are two playgrounds, one for younger children and one for older kids and adults. The playground features a swing set, climbing structures, wooden bridges, and other climbing equipment, as well as slides.
There’s also an area specifically designed for toddlers with low-to-the-ground obstacles such as slides, tunnels, and bridges they can crawl through while parents supervise them closely from nearby benches or picnic tables. The park also has a walking trail that winds through the woods alongside a small stream where you can watch dragonflies zip around or listen to birds sing their songs while you walk along it!

Paintsville Lake State Park

The Paintsville Lake State Park is the perfect destination for a day trip. It’s just 27 miles west of West Liberty, and it’s one of the most popular parks in the state. The park features a lake with fishing, boating, swimming, and other water activities. The lake is stocked with fish, so you’ll be able to reel in some fresh fish for dinner on your way home from your day trip!
While you’re at Paintsville Lake State Park, take advantage of the other amenities available at this beautiful park. You’ll enjoy hiking trails that lead through wooded areas and past scenic views of the lake. There are also cabins for rent if you want to stay overnight!

Natural Bridge State Resort Park

Natural Bridge State Resort Park is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region! It’s about 35 miles from West Liberty and offers a wide range of activities for visitors.
At Natural Bridge State Resort Park, you can enjoy hiking, fishing, horseback riding, and swimming. There are also several places to eat on-site, so you don’t have to worry about packing a picnic lunch or bringing your own food. The park also has a campground for overnight visitors who want to get away from it all for a few days!
