Bagels on a table

It’s important to start your day right, and here in Paintsville, KY, we have some great places where that can happen. We have all the usual chain places, of course, but when you want something delicious, fresh, and local, try one of the best breakfast places on our list.

Wilma’s Restaurant

Wilma’s is at 212 Court St and opens at 7 am. This is a great place for great food at reasonable prices, and you’ll come away feeling like you’ve had a genuine home-cooked meal. You’ll also appreciate the service, which makes you feel at home and appreciated.

Try their breakfast sandwiches, the breakfast steak, and the amazing biscuits. The gravy is homemade and will really stick to your ribs. On Saturdays, they often have a breakfast buffet, which is really worth your hard-earned dollars and may be the only meal you need to eat all weekend.

Linda’s Cafe

At 317 Main St, Linda’s is serving up delicious food from 8 am every day but Sunday (when they don’t open until noon) and Monday, when they’re closed. The food is fresh and delicious, and the service is awesome. They can also cater your events if you are looking for great food served up by people who really know what they’re doing.

Try the biscuits, the eggs, and the homemade gravy. The breakfast meats are prepared perfectly, and you have a lot more options here than at some places when it comes to mixing and matching. Their pancakes and french toast are also definitely worth a try. You can’t say you’ve tried our breakfast places if you haven’t tried Linda’s.

Billy Ray’s

Find Billy Ray’s at 101 N Front St in Prestonsburg. They open at 7:30 every morning but Sunday, when they open at 8 am. Billy’s is known for their home-cooked food, their large portions, spotlessly clean facilities, and friendly people who work hard to offer you the best possible service.

Their sausage gravy is some of the best we’ve ever had, and the hash browns are bright and fresh and actually taste like potatoes (we love that). You’ll get enough breakfast meat with every meal to satisfy even the biggest carnivore. Also, don’t miss the biscuits and corn muffins.

Taste of Amish

If you’re a late riser looking for an amazing brunch, then Taste of Amish should be on your list of places to try. The open at 11 am, and everything here is homemade and amazing. The bread is always fresh, and you can taste the love that goes into it and the quality ingredients with every bite.

Try the Amish deluxe sandwich, the turkey melt, the bacon melt, or the hot heaven, which is brown sugar ham and bacon melted with cheese. We also love the hot swiss and ham. You can also just order their meats and cheese: the brown sugar ham and honey-roasted turkey will make your day.

When you’ve had a satisfying breakfast, come see us at Hutch Ford and check out what we have to offer.
