1. Daniel Boone National Forest
Take a drive to Daniel Boone National Forest and spend the weekend enjoying the outdoors. Explore the miles of hiking trails, or bring your bikes and take a ride. If you want to get out on the water, there is canoeing on Smoky Lake. The park also has a large pool, playgrounds for the kids, and a miniature golf course.
4. Louisville
Louisville is a few hours away, but it is worth the drive for a long weekend getaway. While in Louisville, stop by Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, or take a tour of the Kentucky Bourbon distilleries.
