2019 Ford F-150

When you’re looking for a pickup truck, whether it’s a daily workhorse or a luxurious family hauler, there’s a 2019 Ford F-150 for you. Offered in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and the off-road specialist Raptor trim levels, and with six engines, three cab styles, and three bed sizes, the F-150 covers all bases.

Exterior Features

Depending on the model, you can choose a Regular two-door cab or a four-door SuperCab with a standard 6.5-foot standard bed or an 8-foot long bed. Alternatively, the spacious SuperCrew cab is available with a standard bed or a 5.5-foot short bed.

The XL trim offers the bold grille in black, daytime running lights, black bumpers, 17-inch steel wheels, and a cargo light. XLT models add chrome bumpers and grille bars, fog lights, and alloy wheels. Stepping up to the Lariat gets you heated power side mirrors with turn signals, 18-inch wheels, LED bed lights, and a sliding rear windshield.

King Ranch adds LED quad beam headlights, LED fog lights, mirror-mounted LED spotlights, side steps, and a power sliding rear windshield. Platinum trims feature color-keyed bumpers, 20-inch wheels, and power retractable running boards. The rugged Raptor offers skid plates, 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires beneath flared fenders, and unique styling cues and badges.

Power and Performance

Your choice of engines begins with a 290 horsepower 3.3-liter V-6 delivering 265 pound-feet of torque to the rear or all four wheels. The available turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 engine delivers 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. A 395 horsepower 5.0-liter V-8 produces 400 pound-feet of torque.

A turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 delivers 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, while a boosted version gives you 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. You also have the option of a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 diesel, which delivers 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque.

All engines, except the base V-6 which has a six-speed automatic, are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. For combined driving, the gas engines return 19 to 22 miles per gallon. The F-150 has a maximum payload of 3,270 pounds and, when properly equipped, a towing capacity of up to 13,200 pounds.

Interior

Inside the XL, you’ll find cloth seating with 40/20/40 split front seats and, in four-door cabs, 60/40 split folding rear seats. It features a 2.3-inch multi-information cluster display, a 4.2-inch infotainment display, and, depending on the cab, a four- or six-speaker audio system. The XLT offers cruise control and a Sync 3 multimedia system with a Wi-Fi hot spot.

The Lariat features leather-trimmed upholstery with heated and cooled power front seats, leather-bound steering wheel, and an 8-inch multi-information display. The King Ranch adds a unique leather interior, heated rear seats and steering wheel, navigation, and a B&O sound system.

Driver Assistance Features

Standard or available features include adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, frontal collision warning with automatic braking, and reverse parking assist. A range of smart towing features is also available.
